Luxuriously appointed, all the rooms have the benefit of being fully refurbished and decorated for 2012. The first floor rooms have lovely views across the courtyard to Cropton forest and over the gardens towards the Roman Road and Newtondale.  

The spacious lounge has twin aspect views, comfy sofas and a wood burning stove for those cooler evenings. There is a television with dvd, Wi-Fi, a cd player with an eclectic collection of music. There is a cosy reading nook with a David Weeks Semana chair, anglepoise lamp and more books and magazines than you can shake a stick at!

A large kitchen/diner has reclaimed wooden floors, a breakfast bar and a farmhouse table & chairs - ideal for those relaxing holiday breakfasts. In addition to the usual kitchen equipment (electric oven with ceramic hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and microwave) there is also a DAB radio with ipod dock. 

The twin bedded room has a lovely country feel with its wooden floor, cream painted beds and antique furniture. We feel its a room that works equally well for adults or children. Next door the family bathroom has a double ended bath with a shower, underfloor heating and a heated towel rail. 

On the ground floor the double room is modern, wonderfully light and relaxed yet cosy.  With an en suite shower room which has under floor heating and a heated towel rail. The large French windows lead out to the garden. 

If you are staying for a week or more there will be a local food hamper waiting for you. This will include sausages and dry cured bacon from Cedar Barn near Pickering, fantastic free range eggs from our hens, homemade bread and preserves, milk, local butter, orange juice and often some seasonal fruit from the garden. 

The Hayloft has sole use of the fully enclosed garden including it’s sun terrace and barbeque area. The garden has a good sized lawn and is crammed full of interesting shrubs, quite a few varieties of Acer, a surprising number of lilies and many different fruit trees.
